Got a call earlier claiming to be from HMRC saying I owed some tax money. They insisted either me or my solicitor had to get in touch straight away or there’d be serious legal trouble. Strangely, they refused to talk to my accountant, which was odd. They couldn’t even say why I supposedly owed tax or confirm my address or any personal details apart from my phone number, so I’m baffled how they could figure out any kind of bill with hardly any info!

They claimed to be from hmrc but left a voicemail which sounds dodgy, hmrc never do that. I reckon it’s a scam so just ignore it.

Just like someone else mentioned, they said they were from hmre and warned me to prepare for a solicitor. Sounds really dodgy to me, I don't think hmre would do things like that at all. Definitely sketchy.

Got a weird call with a crackly voice saying they were from HRMC. They kept going on about some urgent issue and told me to have my lawyer on standby. Really dodgy if you ask me.
