Got a call from someone who knew my name and claimed my washing machine insurance had expired. I didn’t even realise I had any insurance for it! When I told them I’d just got a new machine, they hung up straight away!

Got a call from someone who already knew my name. They kept telling me my washing machine’s warranty was about to expire. I told them I didn’t even know I had a warranty in the first place. They were certain I did. When I asked when I bought the machine, they said October 2012. I pointed out the warranty lasts 10 years and shouldn’t have ended yet, but they stuck to their story saying it ended today. I told them I’m planning to get a new machine anyway, and then they just hung up on me. Really odd experience!

Phone went straight to voicemail with a kinda odd buzzing sound before hanging up. My Samsung blocks most scammers on its own, but they still find a way to drop annoying messages. I just don’t pick up unknown numbers for the sake of it.
