This definitely isn't Slater and Gordon, it's actually the Accident Advice Helpline. I got 23 calls from them in just one week, and most of the time when I answered, no one was there. They claimed they were following up on a query I'd supposedly made about an accident. The person on the phone even seemed shocked when I told them I hadn't made any enquiry. It really winds me up knowing there are folks out there doing this kind of thing.

Yeah ive noticed this weird network 23432 show up alongside ee, Vodafone, O2 and the others when I go into my phone settings to pick a network. Bit strange if you ask me.

That’s Slater Gordon lawyers. Not the normal rubbish calls you get. If they ain’t your lawyers just ignore it. But if you’ve got a case with them, pick up the phone or you might never see your money.

I picked up a call from someone claiming to be a no win no fee solicitor who had info I’d shared online. The lady sounded like she was reading from a script, probably a junior member of the team. It made me a bit suspicious, so I decided to look up the number and found out it’s been flagged as a nuisance and possibly risky. They asked for my name, address, and birth date but didn’t request any banking or financial details. They booked a follow-up chat, saying it’d take about half an hour.

I keep getting these calls all the time, like 4 or 5 times every other day for what feels like a few weeks now. Sometimes they know my real name and offer me PPI claims, other times it’s some life insurance spiel, or they try to sell me on switching my electricity provider. Weirdly, sometimes they ask for a totally different person, and when I say I don’t know them or want anything, they just say sorry and promise to remove my number from their list. Yeah right, total fibbers.
