This definitely isn't Slater and Gordon, it's actually the Accident Advice Helpline. I got 23 calls from them in just one week, and most of the time when I answered, no one was there. They claimed they were following up on a query I'd supposedly made about an accident. The person on the phone even seemed shocked when I told them I hadn't made any enquiry. It really winds me up knowing there are folks out there doing this kind of thing.

Yeah ive noticed this weird network 23432 show up alongside ee, Vodafone, O2 and the others when I go into my phone settings to pick a network. Bit strange if you ask me.

This number has rang me like 19 times just today. They keep calling me like 20 to 30 times daily. Whenever I pick up, they just hang up straight away. I tried blocking it but they still get through, or sometimes the call comes from the same number but with a ‘1’ added at the end. It’s so annoying and honestly I feel like I’m being harassed all the time.

The young woman I spoke to came across as quite scripted; I reckon these inquiries are often delegated to less experienced staff. I must admit, I felt a bit off about the whole thing, which is why I’m now trying to verify this number, as I've heard it could be a nuisance and potentially dodgy. They requested my name, address, and date of birth, but thankfully not any banking or financial details. Interestingly, they’ve scheduled a follow-up call for about half an hour later.

I've been inundated with a plethora of calls-around five a day, every other day for what feels like nearly a month now. It’s quite baffling, really! Occasionally, they even mention my proper name while attempting to entice me with PPI claims. Then there are times when it's all about life insurance, or they try to pitch a change in my electricity provider. Sometimes, they'll ask for someone entirely different! When I inform them that I'm not at all interested in their offerings or have no clue who the other person is, they often express apologies and promise to update their records and remove my details. Dishonest blighters!
