I received a rather dodgy call earlier today claiming to be from some outfit in Ballingdon regarding my boiler. The chap on the line mentioned that under some kind of warranty we supposedly hold with them, they were offering a free service. However, I found it unsettling when he inquired about my card's expiry date. I firmly told him that I don't share my card information unless I'm absolutely certain the call is legitimate. So, I prodded him with, ‘According to your records, what type of boiler do we have?’ To which he replied, ‘It’s a Category B Gas boiler!’ I quickly countered with, ‘We don’t have gas!’ At that point, he hung up with alarming speed. Just a heads up to everyone-stay vigilant against these scammers!
