Got a call saying my lastminute.com booking wasn’t complete, but it turned out to be a scam. Don’t fall for it!

The day after I tried to book something on lastminute.com but didn’t finish, I got a call from a lady with a thick Indian accent. She offered to help me finish my booking, but I declined and ended the call straight away. It felt a bit dodgy to me. Then, my mate who was also booking separately through lastminute.com got a call from the same woman a day later. Oddly, she called a number that was just one digit different from my mate’s, and asked for an alternative email so she could send an invoice for payment. That one definitely came off as a scam.

Got a call from some bloke saying he was from last minute holidays. Weird thing is, he started rattling off stuff about trips I'd been on and even mentioned the holiday I was trying to book online just minutes before he rang! He asked for my payment info and as soon as I gave it, he just ended the call. Luckily, nothing's been charged yet and I've already blocked my card.

I got a call from someone saying they were from lastminute.com and wanted to help finish my booking. I had already started online but the price they quoted was way higher. When I said I’d just book it myself for less on the website, she insisted the website price was wrong and hadn’t been updated yet. I hung up, but they keep ringing me back over and over again.
