Thankfully, I’m not gullible enough to take the bait. In a rather brazen attempt, he even remarked on my fingers, specifying that my middle digit was the longest - clearly meant as some sort of insult. I simply replied that if that was the case, it was aimed squarely at him, and promptly ended the call. At this point, I lost my patience and firmly told them to scram as they were just frittering away my time. They were rather irate after I hung up, and proceeded to bombard me with calls again. Eventually, I mentioned my registration with the Telephone Preference Service, pointing out that they had no business contacting me in the first place.
