I received a rather dubious phone call earlier today from a chap who had a rather pronounced Indian accent. He was purporting to be a technician from BT, warning me that my internet connection was allegedly facing a grave risk. He then went on, in quite appalling English, to request that I boot up my computer and navigate to a website he would provide for further 'guidance'. I had the good sense to dismiss him quite firmly, as it was evident from the outset that this was nothing more than a scam attempt.
