Just got a call from some bloke asking for a woman. I had to ask him a couple of times who exactly he wanted. Told him straight up, two things: one, he’s ringing a bloke, and two, he’s got the wrong number. Then he just hung up on me. Seriously, who are these muppets?

Got a call earlier on from someone who didn’t speak much English, kept pushing to talk to me. Felt like the exact same person who phoned a few days back.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from M&S, asking for my husband. I told them he wasn’t around but they insisted I could take the call instead. Since I’m the one with an M&S credit card, I asked why they needed him specifically. They said it didn’t matter and they just needed me to confirm my address. I kept pressing for a proper explanation (M&S send me letters all the time anyway!) and the woman started to get a bit annoyed and kept pushing me to answer. At that point I just ended the call. Looking at other comments, I see this number has also pretended to be from the Post Office. Seems like they’re pretending to be from trusted organisations you’d normally believe. Just a heads up to watch out for these calls.

My mum got a call from someone claiming to be from M&S. They wanted to speak to my dad by name and asked him to verify he still lived at the same address. Without giving it much thought, he said yes. Then the caller just hung up. After reading stuff like this online, they’ve now reported it to the police and told the bank just to be safe!

Just got a ring from this number, sounded like an Asian guy claiming to be from M and S asking for my opinion. Didn’t bother listening much, just ended the call straight away.

There’s this guy, sounds Asian, claiming he’s from the Post Office or something. He’s rang me around 4 or 5 times over the past week. I’ve stopped picking up now.
