Had a bit of a strange experience today when a bloke rang up looking for some woman. I had to press him a couple of times to figure out who he meant. Eventually, I told him straight that he had the wrong number and, oh by the way, he was actually talking to a bloke. Without skipping a beat, he just hung up. Honestly, what a bunch of numpties!

Received a call earlier today from someone who clearly wasn't a native English speaker. They were rather persistent in wanting to communicate with me, almost like a call I had just a few days prior. Quite peculiar, isn't it?

A rather thick Indian accent sounded on the line, claiming to be from M&S, and they were asking for my husband. I informed them he was away, and to my surprise, they insisted I might as well respond. Since it is I who holds an M&S credit card, I queried their interest in him. They replied, “That's alright, we can converse with you instead, but we need you to verify your address.” Pushing back, I pressed them a few times for clarification on why they required such details (especially since M&S sends me letters all the time!), and the caller began to show signs of irritation and urged me to comply. So, I decided to terminate the call. I've noticed that this same number has also been associated with calls claiming to be from the Post Office. It seems they're masquerading as representatives from organisations one would normally trust without question. Just a heads up to all-stay vigilant!

Received a call on behalf of M&S, claiming they needed to speak with my dad directly. They mentioned his name and requested he verify whether he continued residing at the address on their records. Without realising, he affirmed that he did, and then abruptly, the caller hung up. After coming across similar experiences online, my parents have promptly contacted the police and their bank!
