Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, saying she was from a TV company. The number started with 0208 - definitely a scam. Seriously, BT or the government really ought to step in and sort these calls out.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, saying she was from BT and claimed my internet was being accessed from multiple locations. She wanted me to switch on my computer, but I was already sat there pretending. Then she told me to press the Windows and R keys together and say what popped up. I told her it turned my screen blue and joked she’d damaged my laptop. She asked if I was joking, and I said I’d just wasted her 10 minutes and I wasn’t even a BT customer. She called me horrible before hanging up. Felt pretty satisfied with that one!

So I got a call from this woman calling herself Rebecca, with a really heavy Indian accent, claiming to be from BT. She said there were nasty viruses sneaking into my computer every time I surf online - which is rubbish because I’m online all the time and never had a problem. When I asked how she knew that, she said she was my internet provider. I asked for my account number to check, but she refused, saying it was for security reasons. Then I told her she wasn't actually from BT and she just ended the call. Honestly, they must reckon we’re all mugs!

Today, I got a call from a woman speaking with an Indian accent, claiming to be from BT. Thing is, my phone line isn’t through BT at all, so I figured it was a scam straight away. I used 1471 to get the caller’s number, and when I called it back, it was linked to a car dealership somewhere in London. Seems like they’re using other people’s phone lines to make these calls so they can’t be easily tracked down. Proper dodgy if you ask me.
