5 yearsSo, this number rang me up for the second time in a couple of months. Both times, right in the middle of the chat, the person on the other end just cut me off. Today it was a woman with a strong American accent. She told me something about how I supposedly invested in a Bitcoin company called Coin-something, which apparently turned out to be a scam. According to her, they’ve frozen the company’s bank accounts and that I’d be getting my money back along with any “profits” because Bitcoin prices have gone up. Honestly, it all sounded a bit fishy to me. The whole thing felt like a scam to be honest. They kept asking the same sort of questions where you’re supposed to give very short answers like “yes”, “no”, or your full name. If you don’t play along and give full answers, they just keep repeating or rephrasing the questions in a way that feels kinda psychological. I reckon they might be recording your voice with key phrases to use in a scam later on. I might be overthinking, but I’m definitely going to trust my gut and stay away from these calls - just seems dodgy!CoinBitcoin5 yearsThere’s this solicitor group handling cases where folks got ripped off after putting money into bitcoin.
