5 yearsI've received calls from this number twice within the last month or so. Both times, the conversations were abruptly cut off by the person on the other end-today it was a woman with a noticeable American accent. She claimed that I had previously invested money with a company called Coin(something) relating to Bitcoin and stated that it was a fraudulent enterprise. She continued by saying they had frozen the bank accounts of this company, and they were going to refund me my investment along with any earnings I might have accrued, attributing this to the rising value of Bitcoin. It all strikes me as rather dodgy-screams scam, if I’m honest. The questions she asked followed a familiar pattern aimed at eliciting the responses they desired, like “full name," "yes," "no," and so forth. The moment I answered with anything more than a simple “yes,” I was bombarded with the same queries-almost as if they were trying to catch me out. They could potentially manipulate recordings of my answers for their deceitful ends. Perhaps I’m being overly cautious, but I’m going to heed my instinct and remain vigilant in these sorts of "discussions." Better safe than sorry, I reckon!CoinBitcoin5 yearsA legal practice is currently pursuing compensation for individuals who fell victim to bitcoin fraud.5 yearsEvery so often, I receive a missed call from this number, and they insist on leaving a message about trying to contact me, yet there's nothing actually recorded. It’s peculiar; I don’t recall them ever genuinely ringing me. This has happened multiple times at this stage, and I haven’t the faintest clue about who might be behind the number.5 yearsThey called me but then just hung up when I tried to answer my return call. When I told her he had just died, she said sorry and then just ended the call suddenly.5 yearsBeware of the number 020 8338 4885, it's definitely a scam!5 yearsKept ringing but I didn’t pick up this time.5 yearsSome bloke called saying he was with a law office and needed to send me a refund, then asked if I was by my computer - as if!
