Got a call from someone saying they were HMRC, with a robotic voice telling me to press 1. I went ahead and pressed it, then a bloke came on asking for my name and DOB. When I asked how I could be sure it wasn’t a scam, he got all defensive and claimed I had 4 convictions pending. I told him straight up that I didn’t. Then he got proper aggressive, threatening that the police were on their way to my place. I just said “they’re not” and he hung up right after.
