I just got a robocall where a voice was threatening I’d get arrested if I didn’t hit 1. Pretty creepy stuff!

So this young bloke rings up my elderly neighbour downstairs, and he actually knew her full name! He went on about her Bosch washing machine insurance being nearly up. Thing is, she doesn’t even own one, so she handed the phone to me. I’ve got a Miele and just recently sorted my insurance with them, so I could tell straight away it was dodgy. Told him I don’t have a Bosch and the bloke just hung up on me. Tried calling the number back, but it wouldn’t connect. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.

Got a call about my washing machine cover, they said they could knock £2 off my monthly fee. They already knew my name and address, which was a bit worrying. Then they asked for my bank details, including sort code and account number. When I pointed out they should already have that info, they said it was hidden with asterisks and I needed to confirm it. Sounded pretty legit, but definitely a scam!

Got a call from someone saying they were linked to the warranty of my washing machine... problem is, my washing machine hasn't been replaced in ages! When I asked him to clarify who he really was, he just ended the call. Felt pretty fishy to me - watch out for dodgy calls like this.
