Our office phone rang and the caller claimed our IP address was showing as public instead of private. They kept insisting on talking to the boss but anytime I asked for more details, they clammed up. Eventually, when I asked what exactly they wanted, the person just sighed loudly and ended the call. After looking it up online, I found that these types of calls are known to be scams.
