This number has rung me quite a lot, so I finally picked up today. It was a bloke from a call centre, I could tell from the background noise. He asked if I still had my life insurance with Aviva or if I'd switched providers. I asked why he needed to know, but he just asked the same question again. I told him I hadn't changed my insurance, so he asked if that meant I was still with Aviva. I tried asking why a couple of times, but he kept asking if I was still with Aviva. When I kept repeating that I hadn't changed, I think he realised I was just mirroring his questions and just ended the call.

Got a call from 0208 317 9933 asking if I had life insurance with Legal & General and which age group I’m in. When I asked who it was and what they wanted, the caller just went silent. I’m on the TPS list so no clue how they got through to me.

Got a call from someone saying they were from "Insurance services" asking for my other half, checking if he was with Legal & General - which he never had been. I didn’t answer her questions and she said she’d call again - told her not to bother as we’re registered with TPS, so they shouldn’t be calling us at all. Ended up blocking the number.
