Someone rang an elderly family member of mine, saying it was about some legal stuff. When she didn’t say anything back, they got a bit rude. They hung up, and when I tried phoning them again later, no one picked up.

had a right laugh with some asian woman claiming to be from ‘call blocking service’. she kept asking for my age and address, so i kept messing about cause i used to work at bt and enjoy winding people up. in the end, she just told me to "fuitk off lol" which made me chuckle a bit.

This morning I got a ring from this number, and it was a woman with an Indian accent saying she was confirming details about sending me a Morrisons voucher. I ended up giving her a bit of info like my address and age range before I started to feel iffy about it and just hung up. Just a heads up, she sounded pretty believable at first, especially since I do shop at Morrisons now and then.

Got a call from an Asian lady asking if Mrs (my partner’s last name) was available. When I asked who was calling, she said she was from some call blocking company and that they had just switched on call blocking on my phone, so I’d stop getting nuisance or spam calls. I said thanks and quickly ended the call before she could add anything else!

Got a call from a guy who sounded Asian, asking specifically for me by name. I asked who he was but said no more and then he hung up. Probably figured I was onto him right away.

Got a call from an Indian bloke asking for my personal details. I told him I wasn’t comfortable and didn't think he was legit. He hung up pretty sharply. But I’ve got his number saved since he’s called me quite a few times since then.

Got a call at 4.35pm from an Asian guy who said his name was "Davies" and claimed to be from BT. He tried to verify my address, but when I asked why he needed that information, he just hung up. The number was blocked, so I’ve put it on my block list now.

some bloke with an indian accent called saying he was from 'call guardian' and told me my phone was now protected. i asked straight up who authorised this and which company he was representing. then i told him i was chatting with mates on speakerphone. he didn’t reply to any of my questions and just hung up. pretty clear he realised he got caught and bailed.

On 3rd Jan 2019 at 10:16, my landline rang. I picked up because the number seemed legit. After I said "hello," there was a pause before a woman with an Indian accent asked, "Is this Mr. (my first name)?" I told her "no," and they just hung up! So frustrating, especially since this landline’s on the TPS list as well!

On the 3rd of January 2019, my son picked up the landline thinking it might be my niece calling from London. Instead, an Asian woman named Nora came on and asked for Mr (surname), saying she was from some company called "you benefit". When my son asked what sort of benefit she meant, she couldn’t give a straight answer. He told her he’d track the number and inform the police, and she hung up right away.
