I received a rather convincing call from someone claiming that I was entitled to a refund from an old mortgage. He mentioned I’d be receiving a cheque by this Thursday. The chap was of Indian descent, spoke impeccable English and was exceptionally courteous. However, upon investigating the number, I found it leads straight back to India. Clearly, this is a scam!

The chap, who was from India, spoke very well and was quite courteous. However, after looking into the number, it seems to lead back to India, which raises all sorts of red flags. Clearly, this is a scam!
