I picked up the phone, only to be greeted by some bloke who had the audacity to use my surname, which I found rather unnerving. He claimed to be from Microsoft. I promptly hung up the call. He had quite a thick accent, definitely not local. I’ve had these types of Microsoft calls in the past and always ended up hanging up, but I never bothered to check the number before.
