Got a call from a woman saying she was from BT, telling me my internet had switched from private to public and she wanted to help fix it. I thanked her but said I’d handle it myself. She got quite pushy, warning if I didn’t let her sort it out immediately, my internet would be cut off for breaking the provider’s rules. I told her fine, do what you want then. She then said the call was being recorded and that’d prove I was breaking BT’s terms. I told her I didn’t believe she was with BT at all and asked how dumb she thought people were. She just hung up after that.
