They kept going on about ‘your car insurer gave us your info so you and the other driver can sort your compensation.’ Claimed they were from the Accident Helpline - which sounded dodgy tbh. I know my legal cover is with DAS anyway. Normally I just ignore random numbers or tell them I don’t drive to shut them up, but this one looked kinda like the company fixing my car. In the end, I just hung up on them.

Claimed they were from Accident Helpline (creatively named, huh?), but I know my insurer’s legal team is DAS. Usually I just ignore calls from random numbers or pretend I don’t drive, which usually shuts them up, but this number looked a lot like the garage fixing my car. I hung up in the end.

Got a call today even tho I’m ex-directory and on the TPS list. They said it was about some recent accident I supposedly had (which I definitely haven’t). Tried to get the company name, but the caller’s accent was so hard to catch, I asked them to spell it out. At that point, they just hung up on me. When I inquired about the accident he was alluding to, he deflected by saying he was inquiring, not informing. Even if you’ve got call blocking set up with your network or signed up to the TPS, these scammy lot - often with dark complexions - still manage to get through with their dodgy calls. If you humour them, they’ll ask why you’re wasting their time, then start threatening you and your family with the worst kind of language you can imagine. I told him if he keeps bothering me like this, he might have an accident himself soon. He swore and ended the call.
