I'm absolutely bricking it! Just received one of those letters today. Do you reckon we ought to give them a bell, or are they going to come knocking on our door like some sort of enforcement agents?

Received a rather peculiar letter earlier today, referencing a time when we were residing at a certain address - a couple of years back now, if memory serves. The correspondence mentions that if we call them to confirm our identity, those folks will provide further details regarding the matter at hand. Unfortunately, I can't make the call until Monday, which adds to the strangeness of it all. So far, no phone call has come through, but the number noted on the letter is 0208 245 2145, and it was sent from the second floor of South Point House, 321 Chase Road, Southgate, London, N14 6JT. Quite intriguing, wouldn't you say?

I must say, the way these folks craft their correspondence is quite alarming. Just received a letter that initially made me think the CIA might be tracking me down! As a motor trader, we don’t shy away from picking up the phone; it’s part and parcel of our daily grind. However, we’ve noticed that these letters are merely a ploy to get us to chase after them. Mine even started off with some dramatics about several failed attempts to reach me. I’m genuinely relieved to have come across this information, so thank you to everyone who shared their experiences!

I received a call earlier today from a number that provided our address but no name, just some cryptic reference to Tranffynoon Liangeitho, Tregaron, SY25 6QL. I'm utterly baffled by what this could possibly signify. Anyone have a clue?

I'm afraid that isn't the case. Only a court possesses that kind of authority. Reach out to the MP of the last area you resided in within England and share your experience with them.

This afternoon, my partner received a rather similar email addressed to them, featuring the same individuals that used to live at my former address. It requested that they get in touch with the sender to confirm residence, claiming that these parties have the authority to disclose information related to my instructions concerning this matter. Honestly, I'm baffled by the whole situation and have no clue what they’re on about! It all sounds incredibly suspicious! I certainly don’t intend to respond, and I’ve no recollection of receiving any phone calls regarding this either.

I must say, these folks are absolutely laughable! Honestly, I wouldn’t trust them with a penny - I reckon they’d grow tired of it all before too long. It's quite clear that any civil inquiries into their antics are just a waste of time!

Received a rather alarming letter today regarding civil investigations, stating they’ve been looking into our property. I’m quite anxious about it, as I haven’t done anything to warrant this. I tried to give them a bell, but it turns out they were closed for the day. The tone of the correspondence feels rather grave. However, after glancing through others’ experiences with this lot, they appear to be quite dodgy, and frankly, how can they expect to seize what we don't even possess?

I’ve received one of those letters, and honestly, they really know how to frighten you! As a motor trader, I initially thought the CIA was on our case! It's remarkable how these folk send out such alarming correspondence without actually making any genuine attempts to reach us by phone. We answer just about every call, given the nature of our work. It seems they’re just trying to get you to chase them down. My letter even mentioned 'after several failed attempts to contact you', which had me going for a moment! I’m truly grateful to have stumbled upon this information - thanks to everyone involved!

I've been receiving calls from this number, and to make matters worse, my partner just got an utterly alarming letter threatening expensive legal action! It pertains to a vehicle I disposed of two cars ago! Honestly, it’s quite distressing getting that letter since it doesn't clarify what the issue is at all. I’m quite anxious over it now. After doing some digging, I can wholeheartedly echo the sentiments of others regarding the DVLA and their civil investigations - they really need to sort themselves out. Thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences!

I've been receiving calls from this number, and my partner recently received a rather distressing email threatening expensive legal action! Curiously, it pertains to a vehicle I purchased two cars back! It's truly unsettling to receive such a vague letter that doesn't clarify the issue at hand. I'm quite anxious, to be honest, and after investigating, I completely echo the sentiments of others, especially regarding the DVLA and their shambolic civil investigations. Cheers to everyone for the insights!

We received one of those letters today and promptly reached out to the London office for clarification. It turns out it's about a failure to properly declare that we’d laid our car off the road, which has left us rather anxious ever since the letter arrived. Thankfully, we’re able to settle the £80 penalty right away. The lady we spoke to on the phone was exceptionally kind and accommodating. We clarified that this was an oversight on our part, noting that we had contacted the DVLA over a year ago to inform them of the blunder, yet we have not received any reply. We suspect that any correspondence may have been misdirected to our previous address.

Received a rather alarming letter hinting at potential legal action, but the reasoning behind it remains a complete mystery-no details provided whatsoever. Who on earth are these individuals, and what agenda are they pursuing? The correspondence claims they’re part of Inter-Credit International. I took it upon myself to verify with Companies House, and indeed, Inter-Credit International does appear to be a legitimate firm. However, there's no clear indication of any ongoing civil inquiries associated with them. I’ve no intention of reaching out to them and would strongly advise others against doing so as well.

Received a piece of post today, but I haven’t the foggiest idea what it pertains to. Anyone got any insights?

I’ve just had a rather baffling phone call from England, where they claimed to be searching for me. Intrigued, I rang them back only to find out they are chasing after me because, apparently, the DVLA still lists my car as registered in England and that I haven’t settled my car tax.

This is absolutely ridiculous! My vehicle has carried a Swedish registration for over a year now! All necessary procedures have been completed between both nations’ transport authorities-the DVLA in the UK and Transport Styrelsen in Sweden-and I even sent the DVLA a signed Notification of Permanent Export form. So, what on earth is happening?

These so-called bailiffs, or whatever title they go by, are insisting that I must validate my claims. Do they even have that kind of authority?
