Greetings, everyone. My grandmother received a rather unsettling phone call from this number recently, and sadly, she fell victim to a scam that cost her £359.99. I’m curious if anyone else has had any experiences with this number or perhaps knows something about it. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

My mum just got ripped off for £359.99 by someone calling saying they were from this number. Even with loads of warnings about this fraud, banks keep letting transactions from this number go through as if it’s legit, showing it as a POS service on her bank statement! Honestly, BT really needs to step up and warn people about these fraudsters and this number properly!

I tried ringing them but it just says "out of service for now." This caller has been going around pretending to be all sorts of different people, tricking those who are vulnerable into handing over cash. Always be wary of giving your card info to anyone who phones you out of the blue. Better to ask them to send some paperwork first to check out, but honestly, don't expect them to actually send anything!
