Today I got a letter from some scammers claiming I owe £170 for a parking fine from our recent trip to Porthmadog. We paid for parking at the time, no doubt about that. The letter told me to call this number to sort the payment, and warned about going to court if I don’t pay up. Obviously, it’s a total scam. The letter looked pretty legit though. I'd say just block the number and report it immediately.

There’s a dodgy debt collector going around using the name ‘paydrp’ which is designed to trick you into thinking it’s Debt Recovery Plus, a proper company. If you check on Google, it’s confusing because the scam number links to 'paydrp.co.uk', but that’s a fake site. The legit Debt Recovery Plus site is actually 'paydebtrecoveryplus.co.uk'. Don’t click on their link or ring the number they send you - it’s definitely a con!!

Got a message off these lot claiming I have to pay a one euro parking fine. They even included my husband's car registration and some PCN stuff but didn’t say where or when the car was allegedly parked, or how much the fine was exactly. PART 2 SCAM!! I decided to ring up this company again but this time I used a different number from Google, 0330 045 0650. A friendly lady picked up and said I do have some debt, but she couldn't say what it was for and told me to call the same number the previous advisor gave me because they’re just an assistant firm. When I first phoned that number, 02082346775, it gave a totally different company name than what was on the letter from Debt Recovery Plus. Luckily, they didn’t answer when I called. Plus, the letter had the wrong address and I’ve never taken out any credit.

Got a text from 0208 2346775 claiming to be DRP Ltd about some unpaid parking fine. The message didn’t have any reference number, just a link to www.paydrp.com. Since there was no reference given, I couldn’t put anything in. Tried using their Live Chat but when they asked for my number, I told them I thought it was a scam. So, these people keep saying I owe them cash and somehow they got hold of my car's reg. Apparently, it’s tied to some firm based in Sheffield at 5 Rutland Court, 161 Rutland Road, S3 9PP. I gave the number for their office a ring on 0114 290 1400, and they told me to get in touch with some outfit called "Debt Recovery Plus" on 0208 234 6775, using the reference 817 85 86. Honestly, I think it's dodgy because I've never even had a parking fine or anything like that.

Back in Feb 2021 my daughter paid a £431 parking fine after she didn't reply to the first notice for a while. But this morning, out of the blue, she received another letter demanding £160 for the same thing and claiming she never paid. The letter even shows a photo of her car as "proof". I told the staff at their petrol station and tried to get jump leads, but they didn’t have any. So I went inside and told customer service what happened, then called a cab to go home and get a jump starter. Complete tossers, keep bugging me and my folks over some parking fine from that CP Plus place, i got it for leaving the car just outside the hospital for a bit while i took my partner to A&E. Total idiots.

For the past week, I've been getting about three calls daily where no one says a thing - I just pick up and they hang up straight away. Not gonna bother ringing them back at all.

I got a text saying I needed to get in touch with them urgently and they gave me some reference number. So, right after I got the message, I rang them up. I ended up waiting about ten minutes before someone finally picked up. When I told her my name and address, she told me that wasn’t where I lived. I was like, well if you claim to know better than me, then please do tell me where my address actually is, because I’m pretty sure that’s it. But she just kept insisting it wasn’t right. Then I asked her to tell me where my real address was, and suddenly she just hung up on me. Honestly, I thought that was really rude and unprofessional. But whatever, I’m not bothered about it now.

debt recover plus ltd (drp) tracked me down using a find service cos they couldnt reach the current car keeper. trying their luck with me as the old owner.

I rang them after getting a letter saying I hadn’t paid a parking fine from a place my car’s never even visited. I spoke to a woman and explained that the company, CP Plus Ltd, must’ve messed up. She quickly put me on hold. While waiting, I checked the number to see if it was some dodgy premium rate scam and ended up hanging up anyway.

They called, but only for a couple seconds before hanging up. I've been getting letters as well, so I keep reporting everything. I've even been in touch with Action Fraud, and they’re keeping a record of all the calls and letters I’ve received.

I've told this number to stop contacting me several times already. I've challenged a parking fine they claim I owe, but it's not something they can legally make me pay. I've asked them before to hold off on any calls until my appeal is properly reviewed, yet they keep ringing me. Really fed up with these constant calls!
