Got a text supposedly from Santander saying a payment was stopped and to ring 02082260318 straight away. Figured I'd call back just to check. The person who answered sounded like legit bank staff, mentioned the call was recorded and asked for my name. I told them I’d had a few scam attempts recently and wasn’t sure if they were legit, plus I’d prefer to visit my branch in person the next day. Before I could explain properly, they abruptly ended the call. No doubt about it, total scammers!

Got a text sayin Santander blocked a payment and to ring 02082260318 right away. I called that number and some bloke answered. He started askin for my info, saying the call was being recorded - obviously trying to trick me. I told him straight up that I’ve been targeted by scammers before and he could be one of them, so I’ll just visit my bank branch tomorrow to sort things out. Just as I was explaining that, he hung up on me. The guy sounded like an Asian man, maybe around 42.
