5 yearsI wasn't familiar with the number, so I decided to let it ring. I generally don’t answer calls from unknown numbers, especially if they don’t bother to leave a message!5 yearsI got a call at around 11:45 am on the 7th of May, 2021. At first, a man’s voice came through, followed by a woman’s. They mentioned my name and then abruptly disconnected. Quite odd, really!5 yearsI received a rather unwelcome phone call today that I couldn't ignore.5 yearsReceived a call from a chap who somehow knew my name and claimed that the insurance on our washing machine had lapsed. He even mentioned my address and said they were sorting out the renewal. The moment I expressed hesitation about re-covering it, he promptly hung up. I've just double-checked and my current warranty is still active. This feels awfully dodgy. Could it be an attempt to fish for my bank details? I'm still in the dark about it.5 yearsI received a call from a woman with a lovely British accent-quite refreshing, I must say! She seemed to be well-informed, as she rattled off my name and address right away, claiming to discuss the warranty on my washing machine. Just as I was about to engage her in some banter, she abruptly ended the call. How annoying!5 yearsI was inquiring about the warranty on my washing machine, but the person on the other end cut the call as soon as I began to ask my questions.5 yearsI received a phone call from a woman with a posh English accent, and she somehow had my name. Just as I was about to say whether I was who she was looking for, I politely requested if she could introduce herself first. She mentioned she was just about to do that but then suddenly disconnected the call. I suspect it might have been regarding my new washing machine, possibly trying to push an extended warranty. The thing is, my machine is only six months old and already has a five-year warranty, so I have absolutely zero interest in any extra coverage!5 yearsI received a call from a chap claiming that my washing machine insurance was due for renewal, and he wanted to verify my bank information. Clearly, it was a trickster attempting to siphon some cash from me. I didn't divulge any of my details, but I kept him on the line for a while until he eventually lost his patience and hung up. Quite the cheeky scam!Submit Your Own Report (020 8218 2945)
