I've received two calls in a fortnight from a number claiming to be NHS Direct. Upon telling the woman on the other end that we're not keen on marketing pitches, she promptly hung up. The second time, I called back to express that her behaviour was rather rude, but she cut the line yet again. So, I tried once more. This time, I heard a recorded message introducing herself as Rachel Green. In the end, I left a message for someone named Kurt and hung up myself.

In the past fortnight, I've received a couple of calls from this number, with a person claiming to represent NHS Direct. Once we made it clear that we had no interest in any promotional calls, they abruptly hung up. On the second occasion, we tried to ring back to express how rude that behaviour was, only to be greeted with yet another disconnection. So, we attempted to reach them again, and this time a voice recording introduced itself as Rachel Green. We ended up leaving a rather terse message and decided to step away from the situation.
