Got a call asking to talk to the business owner about our phone lines. They claimed we’re currently paying £18.24 and could switch to £9.90 a month - both amounts are wrong, by the way. When I asked where they got those numbers from, they said they’re working with the ‘telephone company’ and that’s what they told them. I told them I wasn’t buying it and ended the call sharpish.

I received a rather brash phone call from a gentleman with quite a pronounced accent, and he was incredibly insistent. Just had a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be "Justin" (as if!). He said he was representing BT Openreach - what a load of nonsense. He then requested that I perform a Google search, but his instructions were muddled, leading me to suspect I was at the receiving end of a scam.
