Got a call asking to talk to the business owner about our phone lines. They claimed we’re currently paying £18.24 and could switch to £9.90 a month - both amounts are wrong, by the way. When I asked where they got those numbers from, they said they’re working with the ‘telephone company’ and that’s what they told them. I told them I wasn’t buying it and ended the call sharpish.

For the past three weeks, I've been getting calls from this number around 3 to 5 times a day. Every time I pick up and try to talk, they just hang up straight away. Got a call from someone named "Justin" claiming to be with BT Openreach - sounded fishy from the start. Played along for a bit till he asked me to download some software. That’s when I called him out and ended the call. But the bloke kept ringing non stop. On the 16th Jan at around 2:10pm, I got a call from someone with a really strong foreign accent claiming to be from BT Open Reach. They told me there was an issue with my internet. I was in a fairly good mood, so I played along for a bit. They asked me to type something into Google, but their instructions weren't clear, so I said I thought it was probably a scam. Even after I mentioned BT wouldn't just ring up out of the blue like this, they kept pushing. After realising it wasn’t going anywhere, they just hung up. It’s annoying how they can even get London numbers to call.
