I'd say this is probably a scam call. Be careful and keep an eye out for classic red flags like a man with an Asian background using a typical English name, offering you some deal, or claiming to be from HMRC or some British firm. Sometimes they'll say they're from an accident insurance company or something random. One of the biggest giveaways is if they try to get you to make any kind of payment by phone, no matter how small. Stay safe!

For a bit now I’ve been getting a couple of these calls every month, but just today I got two - one guy claimed he was from a cab company, the other said he was with the RTA claims team. Neither of those groups would randomly ring you out of the blue, so I told them that and they hung up straight away. I tried to sign up with TPS through a link I found online but the site said it wasn’t secure and there was no padlock symbol in the URL, so I didn’t bother going any further. Does anyone know a safe way to register?

I got a call from this number claiming there was a warrant for my arrest. It felt like a threat, so I reported it to the Action Fraud folks.
