Got a call from someone saying they were from 'Star Credit' about a loan with just 3% interest. I told them to stop calling me and then they just ended the call abruptly.

Got a call from a man with an Indian or Pakistani accent who tried to get me on the phone but completely butchered my name. When I corrected him, he acted like I was lying and just launched into a sales pitch about loans. I quickly told him I wasn’t interested and ended the call. Definitely feels like a dodgy scam, so watch out. I've blocked the number now and would recommend you do too.

Got a call for someone who wasn’t me, they claimed to have a loan deal at 3% interest. I told them they had the wrong person, but they said it doesn’t matter and they could offer me a loan anyway. I told them it sounded like a scam taking advantage of people when they’re vulnerable. I’ve blocked the number now. The bloke’s accent sounded like he was from Pakistan.

This number showed up on my phone and my fraud alert popped up sayin its suspicious so it got blocked straight away. To me it looks like those dodgy loan people or scammers tryin to steal your info. A good trick is ask them for their FCA licence number, see how they react. Even better, just blow really loud down the phone, usually scares them off quick enough.

Couldn’t catch his name. Claimed he was selling loans. What really concerned me was that the call went directly to a private NHS phone. That number’s never shared publicly, so I asked him how he got it and told him to take it off his list. I said he was wasting valuable NHS time and resources, which is proper shocking considering everything going on right now. He just hung up on me, hope he understood what I meant.

I ended up speaking to this guy "Barry". Guess I'm lucky cos everyone else I know gets a bloke called John. "Barry" really doesn’t give up, keeps going with his spiel no matter how much you shout or tell him to buzz off. Gotta give it to him, he's pretty relentless! :)

On 19/03/20 at about 9.08 this morning I got a call from 02081983752, some bloke who said his name was John. He claimed to be from a financial firm in London offering loans. Clearly a scam, it’s getting ridiculous now. Can’t something be done about these con artists? There’s way too many vulnerable folks out there nowadays.
