Someone said they were from EE customer support, but I don’t even use EE, so I just told the woman with the thick accent to jog on.

Got a call earlier from someone with a really thick foreign accent, couldn’t catch what they said till they repeated it thrice. Said they were calling from Vodafone, and I just said ‘oh is that so?’ then she dropped the call. I’ve blocked the number now.

Someone pretended to be EE support, trying to sell me a phone upgrade. When I told them I wouldn’t answer calls from unknown numbers, they just went “OK” and ended the call like it was no big deal.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Three, total scam as far as I could tell.

I received a call from someone claiming they could upgrade my phone. The problem is, I don't even have a contract on my device, so there's no way for that to happen. What a nuisance!

Someone rang claiming to be from EE, and when I told them I wasn’t interested in upgrading, she kept pestering me with, “But why, Madam?!” She was really pushy and even phoned back after I ended the call. Definitely seemed like a scam to me.

Got a call from 020 8194 9508 on 07/03/2024 at 15:34. They said they were EE and tried to sell me an iPhone for a cheap price. I hung up straight away and looked up the number online. Found out it’s connected to a scam so watch out!

Absolute scam call - when I confronted the bloke on the line, he was unwavering, claiming that no one would ever track him or his mates down, and they’d merrily carry on cheating gullible folk.

I received a call purporting to be from EE, and I had my suspicions when they requested me to spell out my name. If they were legitimate, they would already know it, wouldn’t they? Then, as you'd expect, they wanted my banking information, which was the final straw for me. I firmly told her to clear off! She claimed to be from the sales team at EE and was offering me some sort of deal. Just a word of caution for everyone out there!

This number has rung me twice within just a couple of hours. I've gone ahead and blocked it. My neighbour also got a call from a very similar number where the caller pretended to be from Vodafone. They distracted him by chatting about phone upgrades, but during the call they managed to get into his phone. Not long after, his bank account was completely wiped out.
