Some bloke rang pretending to be from BT about a dodgy IP issue. My mum, who's usually brilliant at dodging these calls without giving anything away, got caught out this time because the caller was really polite and good at chatting her round. It wasn't until I told her to just put the phone down that he stopped. BT never calls about your internet or IP stuff. If you’re not sure, just hang up and ring BT direct. These scammers are nasty, leaving folks feeling worried or scared to pick up the phone again.
