2 monthsMake sure you report every scam call you get. I’ve added some info below. Watch out tho, it’s risky to answer and say much to these scammers. Loads of calls are recorded by AI, so don’t get tricked into just saying ‘yes’ or giving away too much - keep it to no more than three words tops if you pick up from someone you don’t know. Look up ‘yes saying scams’ and ‘voice cloning cons’ to see what police are warning about with this new AI trickery. It’s really serious stuff, so spread the word to your mates and family before they fall for it.2 monthsHe claimed to be calling from the Health Department and asked if I’d experienced any issues with my doctor. Then suddenly he started talking about life insurance. When I mentioned I didn’t have any, he just ended the call. Definitely seemed like some kind of scam, but I’m not really sure what his angle was - maybe trying to peddle some dodgy insurance plan?Health Department2 monthsI’ve got my phone set up to automatically block scam calls, and I swear the number of 020s trying to ring me must be fuming when it just goes right to voicemail! It’s funny how they keep trying other numbers, even my mobile ones I guess, but those get blocked too. Honestly, if you’re gonna bother people, might as well get a proper job instead of trying to cheat folks out of money!2 monthsGot a call from some bloke asking if I had health insurance, and kept calling me Sir, which I absolutely am not. Ended the call pretty quick and blocked the number straight away. The person on the phone had an Indian accent.2 monthsThey began by asking for details about my doctor, which then turned into questions about life insurance. I just ended the call there.2 monthsI just got a call from a different 0744 number, still about the same medical insurance stuff.2 monthsGot a call at 8:22 on a Monday morning! Can't believe these people ringing up at such ridiculous times with stuff I never asked for!2 monthsGot a call from someone with an accent, asking if I'm happy with my health insurance. It's not the first time I've had these kinds of calls, they're basically trying to get your details. Went straight to block.2 monthsWas trying to find out if I’m covered by any health insurance and who the provider might be. They kept insisting they weren’t trying to sell me anything. Ended up hanging up on them.2 monthsThey kept asking me loads of questions about my health insurance and who my doctor was. It felt quite intrusive, honestly.2 monthsHad a call from someone with a strange accent, trying to get me to answer a few questions about my life insurance. I planned to hear all three but hung up right after the first one. Seriously, just hang up and don’t share anything with them!Submit Your Own Report (020 8191 3682)
