02081912305 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02081912305 👆 is reported as a persistent scam targeting UK businesses by callers claiming affiliation with local school campaigns, often mentioning anti-bullying or road safety initiatives. Callers, typically English-speaking females with plausible accents, assert previous sponsorship agreements and request payment for brochures or advertising, sometimes using names and schools familiar to the recipients. They pressure for invoices ranging around £199 to £350 and often hang up abruptly when challenged or asked for proof. Attempts to speak to company directors are frequent, with no legitimate follow-up. The callers may seem convincing but provide no verifiable evidence, and the calls are widely recognised as fraudulent attempts to extract money under false pretences. New visitors should exercise caution and avoid engagement with such callers.

TOTAL SCAM. I got a call from a lady with a northern accent who said my business had backed some kind of road safety drive for a nearby school about half a year ago. She even mentioned my full name and the school’s name. I said I had no idea about any of it, and she quickly agreed it must be a mix-up. From what I’ve heard, they usually push harder, trying to make you admit you signed up for something before.

Ended up losing £350 to a scam… such a pain!

Scam alert - I got a call from someone claiming to be with the education department, saying I had agreed to pay £289 last May for school books to be delivered to a nearby school. When I challenged it, the woman said she had a recording of my consent and tried to patch me through to that department. Just as she was about to, the call got cut off.

Sounds dodgy to me, feels like some kind of scam.

I got a call from a woman speaking English on my phone, claiming I'd signed up to sponsor safety leaflets for a nearby school. She asked me which school I wanted to sponsor and said I'd already agreed to it some time ago. Then she wanted to know where to send a £199 bill. It was a complete rip off, so I called her out on it, and she just cut the call straight away.

These people are total con artists. They mention local schools and claim you’ve helped out with a fundraiser before, trying to sound legit.

They've kept ringing me up, claiming that we sponsored some school's anti-bullying initiative. I've never made any such payment and tell them every time I get the call that I'm well aware it's a con.

Said their company had donated £289 to a nearby school last May and would do it once more. But when I asked for more details, they just ended the call.

I got a call from a British woman who said something about a road safety campaign that my company had supposedly backed. She wanted to know which nearby school we’d like the pamphlets sent to. She already had my name, the name of my business, and even a list of local schools. I said I wasn’t aware of any sponsorship and asked if she could email me the information, but she just ended the call right there.

I've been receiving calls from a rather suspicious individual who keeps insisting on speaking to someone in our office. They refuse to leave a message and keep saying they’ll send an email instead. It’s quite odd how often they ring, and there's a distinct call centre noise in the background, which raises my suspicions even further.

Got a call asking for me by my first name, which I never go by - straight away that made me suspicious. The woman claimed they’d spoken to me before about sponsoring an anti-bullying campaign at school back in April. Well, that never happened, and I told her so. As soon as I said that, she just cut off the call. Definitely a scam attempt.

SCAM ALERT They only asked for someone by their first name and said they were from an education team. I told them to hold on a sec and then after about a minute they just hung up. Doesn’t seem right - if they were genuine, surely they’d wait?

SCAM - A woman called me claiming I’d joined some anti-bullying group last year, which I’d never heard of. She knew my name and spoke with an English accent. When I said I had no idea what she was on about, she just ended the call. I tried ringing back but there’s no way to get through.

Picked up the phone and before I could say anything, they just ended the call.

I've had calls from these lot (or others like them) at my workplace now and then over the last few years, so I recognised it straight away as a con. The woman, who spoke English, started going on about schools and sponsorship, and I just told her to shove her scam and slammed the phone down.

Got a call at my job from a woman who said her name was Louise Green. She kept going on about how we'd apparently chatted before and that I had agreed to back some anti-bullying thing for local schools. Total rubbish, I’ve never heard of any of it. Then she started babbling about some book. Pretty clear scam to me, definitely worth flagging up!

This number rang me up recently, with a woman claiming we’d carried out a bullying campaign that we supposedly approved last November. She said her name was Laura Harrison and acted like we’d already discussed it. When I challenged her and asked for evidence because we never agreed to anything, she just ended the call. I’m not trying to sound racial or anything, but she managed to convince me since she spoke with a British accent, unlike the usual scammers who often have South Asian accents.

They try to trick you by claiming they’ve already contacted you about some school safety pamphlets. Then they ask which nearby school you want it sent to and later hit you with a bill. Stay far away from these scammers - total rubbish people!

Some daft woman called me, saying I’d backed some anti-bullying campaign that "had done really well"… honestly, can people actually believe that nonsense? No doubt, it’s all a load of scams.

We've been getting calls at work from a woman who keeps asking for the MD. She gives the name Louise Green, but I'm sure it's not her real one. Whenever I say he's not around or I try to get her name, she just ends the call. The first time she phoned, she mentioned something about donations for school books, but now I'm convinced it's a scam like others have mentioned here. Watch out for this one!

SCAM ALERT - Got loads of calls from this number on my phone. Some lady said she was ringing from the education department about bullying in schools or something like that. Pretty sure it was a scam. Told them to take my number off their lists and then blocked it so I wouldn’t get any more calls from them.

Was pretty pushy, kept insisting on chatting with a Company Director. Turns out it’s a dodgy scheme trying to get businesses to fork out for advertising in some printed directory.

020881912305 Got a ring from a woman who sounded really convincing, talking about some anti-bullying initiative at a school that we apparently signed up for last November. She said the project went ahead well and that we’d get a welcome pack plus a book sent out. Supposedly, our company’s name would be featured as a sponsor on the back. Then she mentioned an invoice for £289!! I quickly told her I’d never agree to paying that and asked her to prove it. She said she needed to check with accounts first. Pretty glad I looked up the number on Who Called Me before doing anything!
