got a call the other day, sounds like a recorded message right from the beginning. if you dont respond it just hangs up on you. they claimed it was about some government grant for home insulation or something.

I got a call from what sounded like some dodgy legal firm, probably fishing for whiplash cases. They must have pulled my info from some car accident insurance list. Seemed like they wanted to push fake injury claims. When I mentioned I was recording the convo, they just ended the call straight away.

Can anyone shed some light on this? I keep getting calls from this number, and they always know my name and the name of someone else involved, even before I say anything. I was in an accident, so maybe it’s connected, but every time I try to explain there’s been a mistake, the call just cuts off. Surely this has to be some kind of scam? How on earth do they know both our names? Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks!
