I answered the call, but the line went completely silent almost instantly.

I received a recorded message purporting to be from Amazon, concerning the renewal of my Prime account. It instructed me to remain on the line to talk to someone about my membership if I was reluctant to renew. What a complete ruse! They even messed up the current subscription price, which has recently gone up by £20. Definitely not legit!
