I received a rather robotic-sounding call, apparently from BT, stating that my line was about to be disconnected due to some so-called identity threats. They urged me to press a button to chat with their supposed engineer. I can't help but think many folks might unwittingly hand over all their personal information, thinking they need to verify their identity. It’s a bit rich, really! Surely, it should be the caller who needs to validate that they are who they claim to be, right?
