Somebody phoned me saying they were from EE, claiming my SIM card was about to expire and wouldn’t work anymore. They kept insisting EE was my network provider. When I asked for a name, the lady said it was Anna. I didn’t share any details and just hung up.

Got a call on Saturday 14th June, right when Trooping the Colour was happening. The person said they were from EE and needed to update my husband’s SIM card by getting into his phone. At first, my husband almost believed them, thinking our provider had joined up with EE. Turns out they hadn’t. I had to step in and show my phone to prove who our real provider was, then he hung up. The caller had an Indian accent and kept pushing hard. Watch out for these scams!

So I got a call from someone saying they were with EE, telling me I needed to update my SIM card. Thing is, I don’t even use EE for my mobile, so I’m pretty sure this was just a scam trying to trick me.
