Got a call from someone who said he was Alex. He wanted me to relay a message to my manager because apparently he wasn’t free to talk. The phrases he used were really odd, something about “advanced security plans” and something like “three to six months,” which didn’t make much sense. He then told me to repeat those lines back to him, which felt really off, like one of those AI robot scams. I just hung up straight away once they started making me say weird phrases. Definitely don’t engage with calls like that.

Someone rang me claiming to be from EE and said they could slash my call charges by half. Sounded a bit dodgy if you ask me.

I picked up, but they just stuck me on hold and then cut me off. Totally felt like one of those robo spam calls. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Got a call from someone who seemed to already know the person they wanted. I just told them they were away for Christmas and ended it there.

Got a call on our business line from this bloke trying to flog phone lines to us - problem is, we don't even use phone lines! Told him straight up, no thanks, not interested, Jake!

Got a call from someone called Jake at E-tech, trying to push phones on us. He claimed someone from our company had already been in touch, but when I asked for a name, he couldn't tell me. Definitely seemed dodgy to me.

After getting several missed calls and the line going dead, I finally got through to someone called Jake from E-Tech. He rang me to talk about their Telecoms services.

I've had six calls from this number just today. The first time, there was complete silence and then the call ended after roughly 8 seconds. Then I got calls back from "Jake" and "Wade" who said they were with E-Tech, trying to pitch broadband and phone deals. Pretty annoying spammy behaviour if you ask me.

I got two calls from this number today. The connection was really poor and it took ages before anyone said anything. Then they rang back and just disconnected on me. Proper rubbish.

Picked up the phone and there was total silence, just background noise from what sounded like a call centre. The person on the other end was barely breathing into the handset!

I got a call from this bloke who wanted to chat about our phone system, or at least that’s what I gathered. The connection was awful, super crackly and I could hardly make out his words. I asked if he was sure it was about the phones because the line was that bad. Ended up just putting the phone down. Never heard from him again, so I’m thinking it was probably just some scam.

Got a call from an Indian man who said his name was David, but his accent was so heavy I struggled to catch most of what he said. He was trying to pitch some kind of business phone service, but honestly, it was mostly gibberish to me. If you're going to run scams, at least pick someone who can speak clear English!
