I received a rather suspicious phone call from an individual who sounded either Indian or Pakistani, or maybe even Nigerian-hard to tell, really. He claimed to be representing British Telecom and insisted there was an issue with my computer due to some corruption affecting my local area. Naturally, I didn’t buy into that and promptly hung up. A quick call to BT confirmed my suspicion; it was an outright scam.
