Got a call from this number and it was a total scam. The caller said my National Insurance number was linked to some fake activity and that there’s a warrant out for me. They told me to press one to sort it out but I just ended the call and looked up the number. It’s not flagged on most scam lists yet, maybe cuz it’s pretty new, but it definitely isn’t from the National Insurance folks. From what I found, it’s one of those scams trying to steal your info to do dodgy stuff. I’d say just block it and don’t even bother replying!

Only a judge can sign off on warrants, and those are always given personally by the police, sent by recorded mail, or handed over by an official warrant officer. got a weird call from a robot claiming to be hmrc saying there’s an arrest warrant out for me. really scary if you dont know any better but its a total fake. hmrc (according to their official site) say they’d never contact you like that. they mentioned there’s a scam going round where the robocall tells you they’re suing you and asks you to press 1 to sort it out. its all just a trick and you should just hang up straight away. if you doubt me, just google “hmrc arrest call” to see what they say about it yourself.
