Got a call from them earlier, they already had my name and where I live. She said she was updating my insurance policy and asked for my card info. I told her I'd wait for the official documents before sharing anything. Problem is, I don’t even have a policy with that company! She was very nice and polite though. Watch out, this could be dodgy.

I got a call from a guy who sounded proper genuine, telling me I’d been with "Appliance Group" for 3 years and that my policy was up for renewal. He said since I hadn’t made any claims in that time, my premium would go down. Trouble is, I’ve never even heard of this company before! Yesterday afternoon I got a call from someone claiming my boiler insurance was about to run out today, which isn't true. About a year and a half ago, I fell for a similar scam about 'washing machine protection' but luckily managed to get my cash back. When I asked which firm he was with, he mentioned Appliance Connection. I told him I don’t deal with cold callers and that I'm not interested in any insurance offers. Ended the call pretty quickly and have blocked the number since.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from 'Appliance Group' saying my washing machine, cooker, and washer cover needed renewing. I told him I didn’t think I had any, but he was dead set I did. He said I was paying £12.99 a month (which I’m not), then refused to give more info due to data protection rules! When I said no thanks, he suddenly hit me with a £25 fee to cancel the supposed policy. Asked for some paperwork for proof, and he said he’d send it by post - doubt I’ll ever see it. Tried calling the number back but it just wouldn’t connect! What a bunch of rubbish.
