Totally dodgy! Got a call from a woman claiming she saw my CV for a job I supposedly applied for at VP Promotions and wanted to set up an interview. It felt off straight away so I asked her to ring me back another time. Thing is, I’ve never applied to anything with VP Promotions. I looked them up on Google and there’s definitely a site for them, but still, I’ve never put in for a job there. Proper weird!

If you do happen to pick up, never confirm your identity by saying yes. Instead, just ask them straight away, "Who are you?" It’s much safer that way.
