Got a call from some bloke saying he was from 02, telling me I could upgrade my phone. I told him quite bluntly that I haven’t been with 02 for ages and he can take his offer somewhere else.

I keep getting calls from this mobile number - it’s definitely a scam. They ring non stop, and every time I block one number, they just switch to another one that’s almost the same. They’ve got loads of different numbers they use so blocking one doesn’t help much. If you pick up, they just babble on with rubbish trying to trick you into giving info. Honestly, best just to ignore and not answer at all. Real callers will leave a message anyway, so you’ll know who they are. Just don’t bother answering, hope this helps!

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, asking for a code that O2 supposedly sends you and says not to share. I messed around giving them random digits for a while, then just told the bloke to shove it because I like to think I’m pretty sharp and not falling for their nonsense.

Somebody rang claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, so I played along for a laugh. I told them I’d got a proper old Nokia brick and was only paying about ten quid a month. Then the person got all annoyed, said I was just messing around and wasting her time, and that she had loads of phones anyway before hanging up. Definitely not Carphone Warehouse then. If anyone else gets this, have a bit of fun and waste their time back - I had a good chuckle afterwards!
