Got a call from someone saying they were from Curry’s, which immediately sounded dodgy. They reckoned they get phone numbers straight from the providers - total rubbish if you ask me. Then they tried pushing that I could get a new phone, but the moment I picked up, they were grilling me about what phone model I had (which anyway, my network already knows, plus I don’t even shop at Curry’s). Complete scam if you ask me.

Got a call from a bloke with a really strong Indian accent, I couldn't quite catch what he said about where he was ringing from, maybe something to do with curry spice? Either way, it was clearly a spam call, definitely nothing legit.

02081579818 called me earlier saying he was David and had done some work on my place about five years back - total lie. Over the years, I’ve had him ring up multiple times, pretending to be David the Joiner or David the Roofer, saying he fixed things on my property. He even once claimed to have re-roofed my garage, which is impossible because my garage is actually underneath the house! Definitely a scam.

I got a call from someone saying he was a painter and that I had hired him to do some work on my house, even though I never did. He even used my name. Seemed like a spam or scam to me.

I usually find myself waiting in awkward silence for a good half a minute before they finally decide to chime in. Take this experience, for instance: “Hello, this is Dave calling from Amazon. It appears your account has been compromised, madam.” To which I replied, “Well, Dave, I don’t even use Amazon, and I happen to reside in Japan. So, chalk this one up as a loss for you! Ha!”

Got a call from someone claiming they were calling on behalf of PC World. Seemed fishy right from the start, so I told them I'm not interested and ended the call. Wouldn't trust them, probably just a scam! Definitely don’t bother answering if you get a similar call.
