Someone rang me pretending to be from this firm called Hamilton & Young, saying they handled my share portfolio here in the UK. Thing is, I don’t own any shares anymore. I looked them up and found out the company isn’t registered in the UK, and they’re definitely not FCA authorised. I tried ringing them back but got nothing. I kept calling to find out what their angle was, and it turned out they were trying to push some fake investment funds on me. When I questioned them, they claimed to be from Zurich, but there’s no trace of them there either.

Got a call where the person didn’t say who they were or what company they were from. They asked if they were speaking to my dad, and when I told them he’d passed away, they just hung up without explaining anything else. When I tried calling the number back, BT said “service not available.” Very odd.
