My partner got an email about Norton security with that number linked, telling her to install some app called AnyDesk. Turns out it’s meant for hacking. I got a strange invoice attached with this number on it, showing a charge of £486.19 for Norton Security. The email that came with it says something like: "Hello, You can change or cancel the bid for 901322659 before the issue deadline using the right form at the specified branch. Also, if you have a Depository Participant account, your details will be filled in automatically." Looks suspicious to me, like a scam to make me ring that number.

I got this bill that says it’s from Norton, asking me to pay £486.19 for something I never bought. It tells you to ring their “help desk” number. Since I’ve never used Norton and the invoice looks really sketchy, I’m pretty sure it’s just a scam trying to trick me.

One of my clients got an email about renewing their Norton Lifelock antivirus and it said the cost was £468.65. Don’t ring the number they gave - it’s definitely a con.

Got an email with a receipt for £450, supposedly for a three year Norton antivirus renewal. The email came from a Gmail address, so it’s definitely not legit. The number they gave was meant to be Norton’s, but don’t call it, or you’ll end up paying 16p a minute!
