Today I got a few calls from this number, and a bloke calling himself Roderick was on the other end. He claimed I’d taken out a loan and needed some cash. He gave me an address which he said was in London, but when I looked it up, it turned out to be somewhere in Norwich. I rang the company in Norwich and they knew all about this guy and his dodgy tricks. I’ve also passed the info on to the police and the fraud team.

I received a call from this number regarding a loan, and when I turned them down, they resorted to some quite appalling name-calling!

Beware of loan fraud. They've set up a website and will ring you back promising any amount of money you desire, provided you either have a guarantor or stump up a one-off payment of £150 for PPI insurance (despite it being unsecured). When I had a chat with them, the chap introduced himself as Roderick Pratt.

Got a call from 020 8157 2089, and some guy started saying awful stuff about his willy and how he supposedly did something to me last night. It was really disturbing, especially since he was chatting like that with a 14-year-old girl. Proper nasty behaviour.

This number belongs to certain lenders in the UK that provide loans to individuals, but brace yourself-you'll be expected to pay for insurance upfront. It's a dodgy operation; I suspect they might just be fraudsters. They can mess with your phone and scoop up your card details without you even realising. They falsely claim to be registered with the FCA, but in reality, they're not. I managed to confront one of them, and he outright admitted it was a scam. Shockingly, he even read out the last four digits of my card, saying he’d be taking £189 and then promptly ended the call. Thankfully, I hadn’t handed over any of my banking info. Be warned-this is a serious case of fraud!

I received an incessant barrage of 17 calls from this number, all pushing for a loan. After declining their offer, they had the audacity to ask if I fancy a rather crude proposition. I was utterly appalled and promptly blocked them. I strongly advise against picking up if you see this number on your phone!

I've been getting persistent calls from this number that keeps insisting I verify my postcode and claiming they'll drop by my place unless I cough up some cash. I told them where to go and promptly blocked the number.

Got a call from a woman who sounded Asian, shouting at me over the phone. She kept saying I was doing something illegal and kept going on even though I wasn’t really taking in what she said. She threatened to revoke my licence, real aggressive tone. I’m quite old, but I could tell it was a con. I reckon someone less strong might get seriously scared by her.

Had to block yet another one today - this makes three! All from some Indian call centre, going on about Microsoft and some computer problem or other. Absolute rubbish, they just keep ringing back!

I really don’t get how these con artists are still allowed to target older people who are easy to trick. Honestly, there should be stricter laws to close them down and make them pay hefty fines in court!

This number was unfamiliar to me, so I just ignored it and let it go to voicemail. There was no message left anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. Still, I generally don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise!

Got a call on my landline from 02081572089. The caller wanted to know my name, but I wouldn’t give it out and asked them who they were instead. When I kept insisting they tell me their identity, they rudely told me to be quiet! They never mentioned anything about Microsoft at all. Honestly, it was a pretty awful experience.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Linda from Microsoft. I let her ramble on for a bit, then told her I wasn’t interested and ended the call. Seconds later, the same number rang me again. I ignored it and let it ring to voicemail, but no message was left. Then they called back straight away once more, and I did the same - no answer and no message again. I checked the number using 1471, and thankfully, no more calls after about an hour.

I got a call from some overseas number and I think it might have been a Microsoft scam. I blocked that number, but then another one phoned me, although it didn’t show up on the list of my recent calls on my phone. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

I usually stay quiet if I get a call from a number I don’t know, and most times they just end the call. But if they do say something, I respond. When I think it’s a dodgy scam, I tell them they’ve reached the UK police internet monitoring unit and ask for their ID before telling them they’re under investigation. Then, I just hang up straight away.

I got a call from 02081572089 claiming there was an issue with my Microsoft computer. When I asked what he wanted, he just kept saying the same thing over and over. I ended the call. He phoned right back again. My partner told him to stop calling and then ended the call. Still, he called three more times within a short space of time, even though we put the phone on answerphone hoping he’d get the message. Eventually, he stopped. Felt like straight up harassment.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft, but the line was awful with loads of static. Made me think, if they’re really from Microsoft, surely they can sort out better call quality? I quickly ended the call and hung up. Then a few minutes passed and the same number rang again, so I just hung up straight away again.

A rather upset woman from Reading reached out. She seemed to be on a mobile phone and her English was quite broken. The only parts I could understand were “Have a look on Google” and “If you leave, I’ll die.” It was all rather concerning.
