I got a call from someone claiming to be with Utilities Savings, and apparently, they’re in South Africa! They said they could help me cut costs on my gas and electric bills. I explained I’d just looked into saving money and was content with my current provider. When I asked where they had my number, the bloke said it was from a survey I’d done. I’ve never done any surveys, so I’m really curious where they’re actually getting these numbers from!

This number rang me on my mobile while I was at work in the afternoon. I was stuck in a zoom call and couldn't pick up, which might be a good thing after reading these comments. I have no idea who they are and it was a totally unexpected call. When I phoned back, the voicemail said it was from Smart Centre Consultants about sales and marketing. They told me to press 9 to opt out or another number to chat to someone, so I hit 9 and hope that means they won’t call me again.

The person claimed to represent my life insurance provider and then started asking for personal info.
