This number has called me a few times, but when I answer, there's just silence before they hang up.

Some bloke rang me up, said I could get free word puzzle books if I filled out a survey. I told him I wasn’t bothered, seemed like there was always some kind of catch with these things.

They phoned me a couple of times before trying to sell free magazines, but I never actually got anything through the post.

I got a call from a really courteous bloke who said they’d already sent me three free issues of a magazine called The Week a while back, but I never got any. Then he offered to send me three editions of something called The Critic for a quid. When I told him I wasn’t keen, he just politely said no problem, wished me a good night, and ended the call.
