4 monthsI got a call from this bloke who kept ringing back even though I wouldn’t pick up at first. Eventually, I answered just to mess around a bit. He started on about extending my Virgin SIM and wanted my bank info and address. I told him I’m not with Virgin, then he said 02, I told him nah, not with them either. He just kept throwing out different providers like he was trying to guess or something. In the end, I told him to find a proper job and to well, buzz off, then hung up. Seems obvious he was after my bank details to scam me.Virgin SIMVirgin5 monthsGot a call from some bloke saying he was with 02, telling me I had to get a new SIM card to keep using my phone. Of course, he asked for my bank info to “verify” it. I wasn’t buying it, told him to jog on and then blocked the number straight away.5 monthsI didn’t answer, looked dodgy to me, maybe it’s a scam. Might ring them back later and have a bit of fun messing with them lol.5 monthsGot a dodgy call lately from someone claiming to be my phone network, saying my SIM was due an upgrade but to do that, they needed my bank info. I asked if we could do some sort of verification before sharing anything, but they just brushed it off and said it’s not necessary, then later said they couldn’t do it at all. Weird thing, my mum’s had the exact same number ring her about the same story. They somehow knew which provider I’m on, so clearly they’ve got some of our details already. Since then, they’ve rung me a couple more times as well. Total scam if you ask me.5 monthsThey gave me just one ring and I chose not to pick up.5 monthsGot calls from what seemed like spam numbers. They ring once or twice then cut off, no messages left. Saw similar numbers popping up every day. I just ignore them now.5 monthsI got a call from a landline, 02081533810, telling me my SIM card was about to expire. I have an iPhone so it seemed a bit strange.5 monthsIt showed as spam on my caller ID, so I've just gone ahead and blocked the number.Submit Your Own Report (020 8153 3810)
