Got a call from some robotic voice saying they were HMRC and that I was in trouble, like with legal action or something. Totally obvious scam, so I just ended the call.

So weird, I got a call from this so-called HMRC team right after I’d just fired off a sharp complaint to some lot in Dublin called 'cancelcontract.uk.' They charge a tiny £1.49 to draft a proper letter to companies who won’t listen when you try to cancel stuff. You pay, download the letter, and send it off - easy. Well, these guys claimed I owed them £25 every month, forever! No way I’m paying that. Be careful out there, folks! Keep your wits about you!

Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC and threatening legal trouble if I didn’t act. They wanted me to press 1 to talk to someone. Since I used to be at HMRC, I knew right away it was a con and just hung up.
